Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has predicted an
imminent end to the economic and security challenges confronting the
country.
He was particularly optimistic that the economic challenges confronting most of the states in the country, which he attributed to the dwindling oil price in the international market, would soon end.
Mimiko noted that the situation had adversely affected the socio-economic development of the country.
However, he assured that, “Nigeria will be great again and Nigerians will have cause to laugh, because God is set to do a new thing in this nation of ours, and all our problems will surely become a thing of the past.”
The governor, therefore, called on all Nigerians to pray fervently for the fulfillment of God’s plan for the country. Mimiko, who recalled the series of challenges that had confronted the nation in the past, said: “Nigeria has enjoyed tremendous love of God during crises that ought to have consumed the country.”
He stated that his government had continued to enjoy the support and prayers of the saints, resulting in the numerous achievements of the administration; and therefore, urged Nigerians to rely on God.
“We have a challenge in this nation now and that is the dwindling price of oil. I believe we shall get over it soon. I still believe that because of the men of God in this land, I know that God will turn around the situation of this country and collectively, we will be like them that dream,” he said.
