The
Jigawa Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
on Sunday said that it had arrested an 18-year old man for allegedly
stealing two bicycles.
The
NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mr Muhammad Gidado, told the News Agency
of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse that the suspect (name withheld) was arrested
at Kofar-Kudu quarters in Babura Local Government area.
Gidado
said that the suspect was arrested around 10.00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept.
5, after he allegedly stole two bicycles belonging to one Tanimu Adamu
of Kofar-Gaba and one Babangida Haruna of Kofar-Kudu.
He said that the two bicycles had a combined value of N20,000.
The commandant told NAN that the suspect had confessed to the offence and would soon be charged to court.
