The young girl, who survived the early Wednesday morning fire incident in Surulere area of Lagos State, is dead.
Identified simply as Chidinma, she reportedly died at the Emergency section of Gbagada General Hospital, on Thursday morning.
Her remains had since been deposited at Myyoung Barracks Hospital morgue in Yaba area of the state, where bodies of other members of her family were deposited.
Chidinma had suffered serious burns on her face and parts of the body, but she escaped the fire accident.
Her death might not be unconnected with the late treatment that she received, after the fire incident killed her parents and others.
She was said to have been rejected at a private hospital and the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, where she was rushed to after she was rescued.
Lagos Metro gathered that one of the hospitals had insisted on seeing a police report, before they could commence any treatment on the young girl.
