Mousa Dembele wants to score more often for Tottenham

Mousa Dembele is aiming to get on the scoresheet more frequently for Tottenham this season after netting just five times since he moved from Fulham three years ago.

The 28-year-old only got one of those goals last season in 40 appearances and he consequently made just 10 Premier League starts.
Dembele has worked on trying to be more of a threat coming forward and, after starting Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Manchester United, he is eager to prove his worth.

The Belgium international, still with two years left on his White Hart Lane contract, told Tottenham’s official website: "I want to score goals and make goals.

"I'm happy I started and I just try to develop every time I play, I want to show everyone what I can do.

"I hope to fight for the team and that's the first thing I'll do, fight for the team and try to do what the manager asks of me.
"I've played a few games on the right now and I've been able to focus on being dangerous in front of goal and trying to do that more and more.

"The statistics will show that I need to score more goals so this is something I want to improve this season and show I can be more potent in front of goal."
