Jose Mourinho: Doctor Carneiro will not be on Chelsea bench on Sunday

Jose Mourinho has said in a statement that Eva Carneiro, Chelsea's first team doctor, will not be resinstated to the bench for Sunday's Premier League match at Manchester City.

Mourinho was visibly infuriated to see Doctor Carneiro and head physiotherapist Jon Fearn run on to the field to give Eden Hazard treatment during last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Swansea at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho has instigated action against the medical staff that will see both missing from Sunday's trip to the Etidad Stadium.
"Jon Fearn and Dr Caneiro will not be on the bench on Sunday - it doesn't mean they cannot be in the future."
The Portuguese coach told the media afterwards that their "impulsive and naive" decision showed they did not "understand the game" and, since then, Press Association Sport has learned Carneiro's role at Chelsea is changing significantly.

While remaining as first-team doctor, she will no longer be involved in matches and training sessions - a situation Fearn is also reported to find himself in.
The move has led to widespread criticism, but Mourinho has not altered his stance after Carneiro was apparently informed of Mourinho's decision on Tuesday.
"First of all I want to say I have a fantastic medical department led by Dr Paco Biosca, I have a good relationship with them," said Mourinho.
"They tell me they have never been praised as much as they have done by me in the last couple of years."
In explaining why changes were being made at this time, he said: "It's my decision. It's no one else's decision. Every week I face a decision about the bench.
"I have seven assistants. Only four can go on the bench. The medical department only two go on the bench and we are more than a dozen.

"The bench is important for some. For others it is about what they do behind the scenes and for the good of the team.
"Jon Fearn and Dr Caneiro will not be on the bench on Sunday - it doesn't mean they cannot be in the future.
"My relationship with everyone that works with me or with the majority of those who work with me is an open relationship.
"Football is football and the match is that. Everything in the match can be different."
Mourinho refused to take questions on the subject of Hazard's injury. "If you want to speak to me about football, I'm here. If you want to ask about other things, I'm not here.
"If somebody thinks that a disagreement between manager and medical can affect team, they don't have a clue."
