John Terry cheers himself up by buying himself a £1.5 million present
It’s fair to say that John Terry had a pretty awful weekend.
Hauled off at half-time during Chelsea’s 3-0 mauling at the hands of
Manchester City on Sunday, the former England captain – and the Blues’
captain, leader and legend – was widely vilified for his part in the
shocking defeat.
“The beginning of the end for John Terry” was our blogger Dan Levene’s headline, suggesting that all the defender is good for now is a coaching role.
But he found a GREAT way of cheering himself up: buying this vintage Ferrari for a cool £1.5 million.
Which, as well as being utterly gorgeous in its own right, will also probably be a great investment, given the state of the classic car market.
Fans’ verdict on John Terry’s new car, incidentally? A huge thumbs-up.
If things continue to go horribly wrong for Terry? At least he’ll have a cool car to get to drive to reserve XI matches.
If only David James had bought so wisely back at his peak…
